Don’t even think about asking these hairdressers for a boring old short, back and sides.

These are some of their truly hair raising styles created by some of the top crimpers in the country.

But they are not doing it for the shear fun of it - these whacky stylists are going head to head to win in 5 Star’s new show, Extreme Hair Wars.

Each week four crimpers will compete in a series of challenging rounds, each with a different theme such as ‘Battle of the Braids’ or ‘Into The Woods’.

Love is in the hair as the stylists pour their heart and soul into their gravity-defying creations with everything from LED butterflies, twinkling fairy lights, chicken wire, sweets, runny chocolate and even giant fish being incorporated into the wildly imaginative styles. And without a doubt several cans of hair spray.

One stylist even fashions a cloak for her model made entirely from hair.

The talented and creative hairdressers will be judged each week by multi-award winning stylist Robert Masciave and British hairdressing veteran Martin Holmes as they battle it out to see who is a cut above the rest and be crowned the Extreme Hair Wars champion.
