"I am MAXIM. I represent the focus of the magazine," said Diamond. "I am a young, beautiful, confident black girl and I am what is missing." The next Maxim Magazine cover girl selected receives the grand prize of $25,000, a lavish photoshoot with legendary photographer Gilles Bensimon and worldwide recognition as a Maxim Cover Girl. The twelve states that make up the Southeast Region are South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky and Louisiana.

"Winning the Maxim coveted cover would open up doors not only for me but for the agency I wish to establish to help young girls follow their dreams without compromise," said Diamond. "I am an Alabama native and with opportunities few and far in between, so many people from my hometown and across the country look up to me, always asking me how can they get to where I am and I really want to help."

Diamond is no stranger to the public eye or the challenges that young women face when it comes to seeking success. "The grand prize money is great, but to be on the cover has a deeper meaning because it provides me with an international platform to make a difference," said Diamond. "I want to represent for the young Black girls everywhere that were told they would not make it. I want to prove to everyone that if they work hard enough that they can make it. I want to share a positive message."
