Cheryl Boone Isaacs to Speak at IPR Annual Lecture & Awards Dinner

GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the immediate past president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will speak at the Institute for Public Relations Annual Distinguished Lecture & Awards Dinner on November 28 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.

Boone Isaacs served the maximum of 4 one-year terms as president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, known for its annual Academy Awards.  During her 24 years as a board member, Boone Isaacs held every officer position as well as producing the Academy’s 2012 4th Annual Governors Awards.

Boone Isaacs is the president and CEO of CBI Enterprises, Inc. She has consulted on marketing efforts for Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, Lionsgate, Sony Entertainment and MTV Films. She also worked on films such as “The Artist,” “The King’s Speech” and “Spider-Man 2.”

She has previously served as president of theatrical marketing for New Line Cinema. Before that, she was the executive vice president of worldwide publicity for Paramount Pictures. In this role, she orchestrated publicity campaigns for Best Picture winners “Forrest Gump” and “Braveheart.”

Boone Isaacs is currently an adjunct professor at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. She has also been an adjunct professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Columbia College Chicago and Mount Saint Mary’s College. She frequently guest lectures at USC, UCLA, Harvard’s Kennedy School, Loyola Marymount, the Dubai International Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, the Singapore International Film Festival and Korea’s Busan International Film Festival.

She has earned an honorary doctorate from the Chapman University Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has been inducted to the NAACP’s hall of fame, named the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation 2017 Pioneer of the Year, received the Icon Mann Legacy Award and much more.

Tickets for the Distinguished Lecture & Awards Dinner are available for $500 each. Tables of 10 can be purchased for $5,000 and a limited number of premium tables of 10 are available for $10,000.
