Danny Dyer is set to lend his voice to a new MTV show called True Love or True Lies, which sounds rather similar to a certain ITV2 show.

The EastEnders actor will be act as voiceover for the new show, which doesn't sound a million miles away from fan favourite Love Island.

The show will see six couple arriving at a mansion in Italy, where they’ll compete for a £50,000 prize and the title of Perfect Couple.

There will also be fake couples among the real ones who are just there to steal the money.

In order to win, the real couples will have to try and work out who is faking their romance each evening and vote the pair off and if that couple are revealed to be fake, the prize money will grow by £10,000.

Presenter Maya Jama will also join Dyer on the show, with neither aware of who the fake couples are during filming for the show.

The news comes after Dyer’s wife Jo told how he is “jealous” and cries “every night” over his daughter Dani being away from home while on reality show Love Island.

She told Caroline Flack: "I think he's a bit jealous, he does cry a lot. Every night. He really misses her.

She added: "I like Jack. I trust him yeah. I think he's caring for Dani, I think he's got her back."
