The FDM “remain committed to engaging with the community” and also “plan to be an effective shadow opposition, holding the government accountable even without a presence in Parliament,” the Free Democratic Movement [FDM] said.

Bernews asked the FDM what their plans are going forward, and FDM chairperson Omar Dill told Bernews, “As Chairperson of the Free Democratic Movement, I can confirm that we remain committed to engaging with the community, continuing to canvass, and inviting supporters to become members.

“We are focused on implementing programs that will have a meaningful impact at the grassroots level, addressing the real challenges that Bermudians face daily. Our priority is to create initiatives that strengthen our communities and provide tangible support where it’s needed most.

“We also plan to be an effective shadow opposition, holding the government accountable even without a presence in Parliament. Our commentary will remain solution-focused and rooted in our policies, ensuring that we continue to challenge ineffective governance while offering real, actionable alternatives.

“Additionally, if asked, we are willing to assist the government in bettering Bermuda, because at the end of the day, what matters most is real progress for the people.”
