A Russian beauty queen's divorce battle with an abdicated Malaysian king has worsened after she posted footage of her baby son destroying pictures of his 'father.'

Oksana Voevodina is locked in a battle over a financial settlement, including maintenance for her child, who she claims is the sole heir of wealthy Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan, 50.

The 27-year-old model is known to be consulting London lawyers over the row and is examining new ways to push her claim.

She told her 594,000 followers it 'ached my chest' when she found her eight-month-old baby named Leon rifling through family photographs and crumpling and biting pictures of the royal which he 'found on a bottom shelf'.

The English-educated sultan quit the Malaysian throne one year ago after controversy over his secret wedding to the former Miss Moscow.

He has not publicly acknowledged the boy as his son nor met the child.

But a leaked draft divorce settlement offer from his lawyers made longterm financial provision for the boy - as long as he was raised a Muslim and never contacted the ex-king. She rejected the package.

Filmed in her Moscow flat, Oksana says to her son sitting on the floor with photographs: 'Why did you get all this? What а horror. Give it back to me. Who is this? Who is this? Leon, it's your father. Give it back to me.'

The model posted: 'The boxes with photos were on the bottom shelf under the TV, and as Leon is very fond of exploring all corners in our home he opened them at once.'

In the process he mangled pictures of the sultan, she said, posting the episode in what will be seen in Malaysia as using the child in a stunt in her battle with the former monarch who remains ruler of Kelantan state.

She said: 'Of course, he (Leon) doesn't understand anything yet, but it ached in my chest ...

'And it is somehow sad that one day I will have to tell my son what happened between me and his father …

'I'm not going to hide anything from Leon or make up stories that his Dad was an astronaut and flew away to another planet.'

She has accused the sultan of shutting out his son conceived in love during their short marriage before walking out on her.

Meanwhile she has restarted her modelling and marketing career, recently featuring in a video from five star hotel Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre.

She said: 'I have started to work a lot and made myself very busy, as much as possible.

'And after a couple of months I became so carried away that I finally appreciated the taste of a freedom.'

In a dig at her ex-husband, she said: 'I have never felt such a pleasure in my life - nobody tells me what I should wear, eat, or what time to go to bed.

'I am a creative person and I can sit down at the presentation and finish it at 7am if I have the inspiration.

'Now I can live absolutely the way I want, go where I want, bring up my son in the way I like...

'I am in a state of weightlessness and bliss from the opportunities that have opened up.

'I think I'm still the one of those people whose glass is half full, and now I am full of energy like never before.'

She said: 'Who knows, maybe today I will go outside and my life will turn upside down again.'

Sources close to the sultan's royal palace have said that the relationship broke down after he became upset that his marriage to Miss Moscow 2015 had become public knowledge.

He had wanted his June 2018 Islamic wedding to Oksana to remain secret.

They also claimed he was shocked that following a second Moscow wedding ceremony in November 2018 - five months after their Malaysian nuptials - newspapers revealed she had taken part in a lurid TV reality show when it was claimed she had sex in a swimming pool in Mexico with a male actor.

He abdicated his throne in January after details leaked in Russia of his secret marriage to Oksana.

Five months later he abruptly ended the royal marriage using the harshest form of Islamic divorce.

She insisted she heard about it from the Internet.

The palace claimed she refused twice to have a DNA test on the child, something she denies, stressing she is ready anytime.

She has told the former monarch that the baby is 'a copy of you' and is ready for a DNA test.

Her son was conceived on a romantic Australian royal holiday after their secret Islamic wedding in 2018, she said.

Ms Voevodina has enraged the sultan by releasing images of their intimate moments before they split.

The couple are now locked in a feud over a financial settlement, with the palace portraying the Russian as a gold digger, claiming she had demanded an £8 million London house as well as a £1.2 million Moscow flat and £24,000-a-month.

She rejected his offer.

He imposed what she believed were draconian curbs on her use of social media and made clear he would not publicly admit he was the father of the half-Russian child.
