He's the Bachelorette runner up who has remained tight-lipped about his rumoured appearance on Bachelor in Paradise.

But as speculation mounts that Jarrod Woodgate WILL be a contestant on the new Channel Ten reality show, he seems to be trying his level best to to play it down.

On Monday, the 31-year-old shared a photo of himself dressed in lederhosen to celebrate Oktoberfest, but neglected to mention that it was actually taken last year.

'Ahhh Oktoberfest, you (almost) ruined me,' the caption read.

Using the hashtags #boystrip and #eurotrip in the latter part of the caption, this may be Jarrod's attempt to distract from the fact the Victorian vineyard owner flew to Fiji last week.

In the picture, Jarrod has his arm wrapped around a friend, who is tagged in the image.

Upon closer inspection, his close friend Chris Kenny had posted the same snap of the two holidaying in Germany on his Instagram account only last month - but with a vastly different caption.

'Missing Oktoberfest. This time last year was such an amazing day! 2016,' Chris wrote in the caption.

In a bid to avoid paparazzi, Jarrod flew from Melbourne to Brisbane, before boarding a flight to Nadi in Fiji last Monday.

The airport sighting comes as an insider spoke exclusively to Daily Mail Australia and said that Jarrod is 'going away for a few weeks.'

Off to Fiji! It has since been revealed that Jarrod boarded a flight in Melbourne last Monday, and avoided paparazzi by flying to Brisbane, then boarding another flight to Fiji, where Bachelor in Paradise is rumoured to be filmed

'He doesn't know where he's going, (the Bachelor producers) just said to get to the airport,' the insider said. 

Jarrod's likely inclusion in the series comes with a heartbreaking twist.

Fiji, which is believed to be the filming destination for Bachelor in Paradise, is where Jarrod had his heart broken on the finale of The Bachelorette by Sophie Monk.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Jarrod for comment.
